IL BAR a saletta bar č stata modernamente rimaneggiata nel rivestimento a marmorino bianco e grigio. Di grande interesse artistico sono le cinque sovrapporte e le quattro tele verticali agli angoli.Tutte tele firmate Palma il Giovane. Le prime sono a soggetto religioso (raffigurano la Maddalena, e i Santi Francesco, Gerolamo, Sebastiano, Giovanni Battista). I chiaroscuri invece riportano allegorie delle Scienze e delle Arti: l'Astronomia, l'Aritmetica, la Navigazione e l'Industria. Di diverso autore sono le tele pių grandi incastonate nei pannelli orizzontali. C'č un dipinto ispirato a Rubens, attribuibile al suo allievo J.Jordaens, che rappresenta Mosč e il serpente di bronzo. E, una copia della nota "Venere di Urbino" di Tiziano, ora ospitata nella Galleria degli Uffizi a Firenze. |

THE BAR
he Bar has been placed in a room redecorated in grey and white marmorino (a sort of marble effect). The five overdoors are of interest, as are the four narrow paintings at the corners, all works of Palma il Giovane. The first two are religious subjects, representing Mary Magdalen, St. Francis, St.
Jerome, St. Sebastian and the Baptist. The chiaroscuro works instead illustrate allegories oif the Sciences and of the Arts: Astronomy, Arithmetic, Navigation and Industry. The larger paintings set in the horizontal pannels in the walls are by another hand. One of this is inspired by Rubens, probably is the work of one of his pupil, Jordaens, which represents Moses and the brazen serpent. It is hosted also a good copy of the well - known "Urbino Venus" by Titian, now in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence. |
